How I got into photography
I love to connect with people,
so I started taking photos.
My love for photography wasn't a childhood dream, but a beautiful surprise that unfolded after a life-changing decision that left everything I knew behind
Growing up in former Czechoslovakia, opportunities were limited, but when the Iron Curtain fell, it felt like someone threw open all the windows – suddenly, everything seemed possible! My love of languages and this newfound adventure led me to study sinology at university. Studying Chinese cracked the door to Asia wide open, and guess what? I walked right through, but not to where everyone thought!
Yokohama, Japan, became our home for more than eight years thanks to my husband's job. It's where we raised our sons and built many friendships and unforgettable memories. Yokohama boasted a vibrant international community, and being surrounded by so many different cultures really made me feel alive.
It was actually there, that I discovered a whole new passion – photography. While the beauty of Japan was inspiring, what truly captivated me were the stories in the faces of the people around me. My natural desire for genuine human connection has led me to portrait photography, as I believe photography can create a bridge that connects us all, highlighting each person's unique beauty and authenticity.
After living in Japan, we have now made Frankfurt our new home. My international experience has fueled my passion for helping fellow international entrepreneurs. We've all been there—figuring out a new place and building something from scratch. While some challenges must be navigated alone, I can help ease the burden by creating impactful visuals that share your unique story with the world.
