In mid November, Japanese festival “Shiqi-go-san” for girls aged of 7 and 3 and boys aged 5 is traditionally held all over Japan. It’s a celebration of their growth and well-being and for this occasion they are dressed in kimonos and pay visit to a shrine with their parents.  Each autumn I took  many impromptu pictures of strangers (with their permission, of course) and they belong to my favourites because they are just too cute. When my friend Veronika asked me to take pictures of her two kids who are just 5 and 3 in kimonos, I jumped with excitement. Veronika picked the best location, the weather was gorgeous and the kids deserved a sweet treat for their cooperation and patience.
