I love to connect with people,
so I started taking photos.

Photography wasn’t my childhood dream. It found me later. Unexpectedly, but at the right time.

I grew up in former Czechoslovakia, where the world felt small and closed off.
When the Iron Curtain fell, that changed. I was suddenly free to explore, and I did.

I studied sinology and followed my curiosity all the way to Asia.
But instead of China, life brought me to Japan.

Yokohama became our home for over eight years.
It’s where we raised our sons and became part of a warm, international community.
Living among so many cultures opened me up in ways I never expected.

That’s where I fell in love with photography.
Japan’s beauty was part of it, but what truly drew me in were the people. I loved their expressions, stories, and their energy.


I’m drawn to portraits because they create connection.
I don’t believe in stiff poses or fake smiles. I want to capture what makes someone real, and memorable.

Now based in Frankfurt, I work with international entrepreneurs who want visuals that reflect who they are.
People who’ve started over. People who are building something in a new place. People like me.

I understand what it’s like to build from scratch in a new country.
It’s exciting. And hard.
The good news is that you don’t have to figure out your visual story alone.
